Tripura Institute of Technology

The Department of Science and Humanities of Tripura Institute of Technology has been an integral academic department since the inception of erstwhile Polytechnic Institute. At present, the Department is engaged in teaching multidisciplinary courses of English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Commerce and Management in Diploma module, Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes of the Institute. The Department is motivated towards excellence in teaching through innovative techniques, inclusive strategies, and quality-driven egalitarian higher education, to cultivate conscientious citizens for long-term peace, prosperity, and cultural preservation. To cultivate the young minds belonging to different branches of Engineering discipline so that the development of moral character of young engineering students, their work ethics and capacity for problem –solving can be enhanced in order to develop a peaceful and thriving knowledge community.

1. The mandate of the department is to conduct multidisciplinary teaching courses of English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Commerce, Management and some other allied subjects as incorporated in the curriculum of different engineering disciplines.
2. To provide cutting – edge laboratory infrastructure in the department of Physics and Chemistry.

• A state-of-the-art language laboratory is annexed in the department to generate techno-managerial human resource.

1. To cultivate and maintain an academic environment supportive of the creation of intellectually capable and dedicated professionals in order to achieve an effective growth for the regional and national economy.
