Tripura Institute of Technology

 The Mechanical Engineering Department has started its journey with diploma course in the year of 1958. At present, the department offers UG and PG programs along with the Diploma program. Commenced in 2007 and 2020 respectively, the UG and PG programs are running successfully. The department with a bunch of experienced faculty members and its vision “to create one of the best branches in the country in order to develop quality Mechanical Engineers through excellence for industries as well as society” is moving forward to excel. The faculty team comprises 2 Professors, 8 Associate Professors, 2 Assistant Professors and 4 Lecturers. Total 12 technical staffs are also serving in the department.

 In the department, various activities are practiced to develop young minds and prepare them for societal challenges in addition to the normal academic activities of the department. Engineering Education as per the AICTE and NBA guidance is imparted through conventional and digital classrooms, sophisticated laboratories available in the department. Besides, arranging internship for students, organizing technical seminars, workshops, interaction with eminent faculties, industry people from across the country are also carried out in the department.

The vision of the Mechanical Engineering Department is to create one of the best branches in the country in order to develop quality Mechanical Engineers through excellence for industries as well as society.
