Mission, Vision, PSO & PO

Vision of the Department

The vision of the Automobile Engineering Department is to create one of the best branches in the country in order to develop quality Automobile Engineers through excellence for industries as well as society.

Mission of the Department

M1: To provide comprehensive knowledge of Automobile Engineering with equal emphasis on theoretical and practical aspects and interdisciplinary problem-solving skills.

M2:   To provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Automobile Engineering along with interdisciplinary problem-solving skills.

M3: To develop a sense of morality and social responsibility through personality development Programs.

M4: To enhance industrial-institute interactions, advance research, and stimulate entrepreneurship through a deeper understanding of current technologies.

Program-Specific Outcomes (PSOs):

At the end of the program, the student

PSO1: Will be able to develop automobile engines and chassis in a view to meet the dynamic needs of the society by harnessing the potential of electronic systems and modern software tools.

PSO2: Will be able to explore possibilities of viable alternate fuels and develop emission control technologies and safety systems.

Program Outcomes (POs)

Diploma Automobile Engineering graduate students will be able to

PO1:Basic and Discipline-specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals, and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.

PO2: Problem analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.

PO3: Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.

PO4:Engineering Tools, Experimentation, and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate techniques to conduct standard tests and measurements.

PO5:Engineering practices for society, sustainability, and environment: Apply appropriate technology in the context of society, sustainability, environment, and ethical practices.

PO6: Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member, or as a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.

PO7: Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.
